This European Standard, a part of the BS EN 10296 series, specifies the technical delivery conditions for electric welded, laser beam welded and submerged arc welded tubes of circular cross section made of non-alloy and alloy steels for mechanical and general engineering purposes.
BS EN 10296-1:2003 covers requirements for the classification and designation of steel grades, information to be supplied by the purchaser, the manufacturing process, inspection, test methods, marking and protection of welded circular steel tubes.
