BS EN 1999-1-3 describes the principles, requirements and rules for the structural design of aluminium components and structures subjected to fatigue actions and gives rules for:

  • Same life design
  • Damage tolerant design
  • Design assisted by testing.

BS EN 1999-1-3 should be used in conjunction with BS EN 1090-3, which contains the requirements necessary for the design assumptions to be met during execution of components and structures.

This National annex gives:

a) The UK decisions for the nationally determined parameters described in various sub clauses of BS EN 1999-1-3:2007

b) The UK decisions on the status of BS EN 1999-1-3:2007 informative annexes

c) References to non-contradictory complementary information (NCCI)
