Summary
BSI has published the UKLeaP as a Draft for Development series. DD 8788 supports the immediate needs of learning and skills organizations within the UK, enabling them to exchange information about learners. It provides essential support for the developments required to meet key parts of the Government’s “Life Long Learning” agenda, and stimulates vendors to meet UK needs and market UK education internationally.
DD 8788-2 is closely dependent on DD 8788-3, and references it extensively.
It contains:
- recommendations about how to apply DD 8788-3
- informative annexes concerning the practical application of Part 3, and the relationship between UKLeaP and specifications issued by the IMS Global Consortium, including the IMS LIP 1.0 specification upon which DD 8788 is based.
Who should buy this publication?
DD 8788-2 is for use by programmers, analysts and others involved in designing, specifying, and implementing records and systems that are to conform to DD 8788-3. It is for persons involved within the implementation of Learner profiles who require a more in-depth knowledge of how to implement methodology and good practice using the UKLeaP.
