Abstract
This European Standard specifies product requirements for prefabricated structural members (e.g. trusses, beams and girders) for use in buildings and bridges made from members of structural timber (with or without finger joints) assembled with punched metal plate fasteners.
The standard provides specific requirements on materials, products, including strength and stiffness requirements, reaction to fire, timber sizes, wane, joint gaps, moisture content, dimensional accurancy, camber, and requirements on joints. Requirements are given for the evaluation of conformity, such as initial type testing and assessment, factory production control, daily, weekly and regular control, and records. Information on marking is also provided.
