- Clients commissioning temporary works
- Construction/engineering industry
- Procurers

Why should you use this standard?
PAS 8812 helps designers select the most appropriate standard to adopt when planning temporary works. This is in relation to the transfer of key design data and information across all phases of the design cycle.
It includes recommendations on suitable partial factors and combination of actions, guidance on appropriate analysis approaches, the reuse of equipment, the relationship between Eurocodes and other related standards and clarification of design requirements for identified groups of temporary works.
NOTE: BS PAS 8812:2016 gives guidance on the application of European Standards to the design of temporary works in the UK when adopted voluntarily, required by the Public Procurement Directive [2] or stipulated by the client.
