1   Scope

This subsection of BS 6920 describes a method designed to assess the ability of [A1_start] multi-layered [A1_end] hoses (including reinforcements) and [A1_start] pipes [A1_end] to impart a discernible odour or flavour to water intended for human consumption.

NOTE 1 A modified test for use with hoses intended for use in conveying water for food and drink preparation is described in BS 6920‑2.2.3.
