1   Scope

This Part of BS 3970 specifies particular requirements for disinfectors using a single specified operating cycle and using mains supplied steam. These requirements apply in addition to the general requirements specified in BS 3970-1. The disinfector specified is applicable to the disinfection of heat labile materials (see foreword).

NOTE 1 It is emphasized that equipment complying with this Part of BS 3970 is only designed to disinfect (see 2.2).
