What is this standard about?
It specifies the characteristics and calibration of the absorbing clamp for the measurement of radio disturbance power in the frequency range 30 MHz to 1 GHz.
Who is this standard for?
- Manufacturers
- EMC compliance and design engineers
- Specifiers and purchasers of this type of equipment
- Test labs
- Users of this type of equipment
- Regulators
Why should you use this standard?
The measurement of disturbance power using an absorbing clamp is a method for the determination of the radiated disturbance in the frequency range above 30 MHz. This measurement method represents an alternative approach to the measurement of the disturbance field strength on an OATS.
What’s changed since the last update?
This European standard supersedes BS EN 55016-1-3:2006, which will be withdrawn on 5 May 2019 and implements IEC amendment 1:2016 with CENELEC endorsement A1:2016.
