BS 4211:2005+A1:2008 Specification for permanently fixed ladders

BS 4211 is a British Standard which specifies requirements for ladders with single bar rungs intended to be fixed permanently to structures. It covers ladders fixed to, for example, chimneys, silos and bins.

Requirements for associated platforms and safety hoops are also given.

BS 4211 also covers permanently fixed companionway ladders.
