What is this standard about?
PAS 2012-2 sets out the retail requirements for passenger cars which have been modified to carry wheelchairs, known as Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles (WAVs). These guidelines are for the retail of WAVs that conform to PAS 2012-1 and include vehicles where users sit in wheelchairs during travel and which can carry chairs secured by four-point strap-type tie-downs.

Why should you use this standard?

NOTE: It is recognized that the retailer may or may not be the WAV manufacturer.

This PAS updates and supersedes the 2012 edition which is withdrawn.
