1   Scope

This part of ISO/TS 22559 specifies
  1. a) requirements for certification of conformity for model lifts, lift (elevator) systems, lift components or lift functions by global conformity assessment bodies (GCAB) (see Clause 4),

    NOTE Hereinafter in this part of ISO/TS 22559, the term “lift” is used instead of the term “elevator”. The term “lift system” is also used to describe a “lift”.

  2. b) related responsibilities of GCABs (see Clause 4), and
  3. c) requirements for accreditation of GCABs, and guidance and clarification to ISO/IEC Guide 65 (see Clause 5 and Clause 6 which pertain to the certification of lifts, lift components and lift functions).
