Abstract
This International Standard, a part of the ISO 3834 series, defines elementary quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic materials both in workshops and at field installation sites. It includes instructions on the use of this part of ISO 3834 as well as a review of requirements and technical review. Specific requirements are given for sub contracting, welding personnel, inspection and testing, equipment, welding and related activities, welding consumables, non-conformance and corrective actions, and quality records.
