What is this standard about?
It is the first European standard on pest management services. The Confederation of European Pest Management Associations (CEPA) was closely involved in developing its content which specifies the requirements, recommendations and basic competences in relation to the services provided by pest management services companies. This standard forms the basis of a CEPA certification scheme for certified professional pest management.
Who is this standard for?
It applies to anyone with responsibility for delivering pest management services, including the assessment, recommendation and subsequent execution of the defined control and prevention procedures.
Specifically, it is relevant to:
- All pest control companies providing a service for domestic and/or commercial premises
- Local authority personnel dealing with pest control
NOTE: This European standards does not apply to field crop protection or the routine cleaning and disinfection associated with regular contract cleaning services.
