Why should you use this standard?
This part of the standard covers physical properties of single use medical gloves, such as surgical gloves and examination/procedure gloves. The recommendations given aim to ensure that gloves both provide, and maintain when in use, an adequate level of protection from cross contamination, for both patient and user.
NOTE: BS EN 455-2 does not specify the size of a lot. Attention is drawn to difficulties associated with the distribution of very large lots. The recommended maximum individual lot size where production can be achieved is 500,000.
