Part 1 of this standard deals with the lifts defined in clause 3, driven electrically, where the car is suspended by ropes or chains. In particular, lifts serving exclusively for the transportation of goods, but having a car dimensioned and constructed to allow access by people, shall be entered in the category “lifts” and not in the category “service lifts”.
