What is this standard about?
This British Standard gives recommendations covering the commercial operation of lone worker response services on a commercial basis. This includes organizations providing keyholding, mobile patrol and security alarm response assistance.

NOTE: The standard is intended to be used in conjunction with the National Occupational Standards for responding to keyholding attendance requests and in conjunction with BS 8484 on Provision of lone worker services.
What’s changed since the last update?
- The BS 7984 series is now divided into two parts: this part on lone worker response services and Part 1: General recommendations for keyholding and response services
- The standard now provides greater flexibility to reflect current methods of working within this sector
