Abstract
This British Standard, a Section of the BS 4737 series, specifies general performance requirements for the satisfactory performance and compatibility of components for use in intruder alarm systems.
This edition of the standard has been prepared to reflect tecnhical advances since the publication of the previous edition of BS 4737-3 and to provide requirements for the component parts of an intruder alarm system in a suitable form to allow the third party certification of such components to be undertaken.
This British Standard should be read in conjunction with the appropriate Section of BS 4737-3 for the particular component under consideration.
