It has been drafted in accordance with the ISO/IEC (International ElectroTechnical Commission) Directive Part 2 and covers the frequencies designated for ISM use, classification systems, measurements and limits of electromagnetic disturbances.
Who is this standard for?
- Manufacturers of industrial, scientific and medical electrical equipment
- Product testers
- Noise inspectors
- Regulatory bodies
Why should you use this standard?
The standard covers ISM electrical equipment operating in the frequency range 0 Hz to 400 GHz and to domestic and similar appliances, designed to generate and /or use locally radio frequency energy.
Requirements for ISM RF lighting equipment and UV irradiators operating at frequencies within the ISM frequency bands are also covered.
What’s changed since the last update?
- Amended terms and definitions relating to ITU Radio Regulations
- Updated to national measures and frequencies designated for ISM use
- Changes to frequency range, distances and electromagnetic radiation disturbances limits
