BS EN 10365:2017
Hot rolled steel channels, I and H sections – Dimensions and masses
Publishing date: January 2017
Status: Current
Overview
What is this standard about?
It specifies the nominal dimensions and masses of the hot rolled steel channels, I and H sections.
Who is this standard for?
It will typically be used by architects, building designers or end fabricators who need access to the different section types in order to accurately calculate the load capacity of different sections’ shapes or make decisions on specifying steel sections within the build.
Why should you use this standard?
It brings national standards for hot rolled structural sections together into a single European document, thereby easing compliance with CE Marking requirements.
What’s changed since the last update?
Up to this point British, German and French section types were in different documents with no clear connectivity. This standard brings all the national standards together, replacing BS 4-1:2009 which is withdrawn.
