Summary
BSI, in conjunction with the Business Continuity Institute (BCI), has published this guide which clearly establishes the process, principles and terminology of BCM. PAS 56 Guide to Business Continuity Management describes the activities and outcomes involved in establishing a BCM process and provides recommendations for good practice. It provides a generic BCM framework for incident anticipation and response and describes evaluation techniques and criteria.
PAS 83 is aimed at the person responsible for implementing, delivering and managing BCM within an organization (the BCM manager). The development of this PAS is seen as essential to achieving an effective and consistent BCM programme.
