BS EN ISO 4287:1998 + Amendment 1:2009 Geometrical product specification (GPS). Surface texture: Profile method. Terms, definitions and surface texture parameters

BS EN ISO 4287:1998 + A1:2009 specifies terms, definitions and parameters for the determination of surface texture including roughness, waviness and primary profile, by profiling methods. It also contains a flowchart for surface assessment.

The new amendment introduces a new term and definition “peak count number”, and a new spacing parameter in the surface texture, profile method area.
