BS EN 203-1:2005 specifies the requirements for the construction and operating characteristics relating to the safety of gas heated appliances for catering which have atmospheric induction burners. It also sets out the appropriate test conditions for the control of these characteristics.

This European standard applies to all gas heated catering preparation and cooknig appliances, with the following exceptions:

  • appliances with total pre-mix burners
  • appliances without draft diverter

This standard covers type tests only.
