BS EN 474-2:2006+A1:2008 Earth-moving machinery. Safety. Requirements for tractor-dozers
BS EN 474-2 deals with all significant hazards, hazardous situations and events relevant to wheel and crawler tractor-dozers as defined in EN ISO 6165:2006, when they are used as intended and under conditions of misuse which are reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer.
BS EN 474-2 also deals with rear-mounted winches for use on tractor-dozers.
The requirements of BS EN 474-2 are complementary to the common requirements formulated in BS EN 474-1:2006. It does not repeat the requirements from BS EN 474-1:2006, but adds or replaces the requirements for application for tractor-dozers.
BS EN 474-2 specifies the appropriate technical measures to eliminate or reduce risks arising from the significant hazards, hazardous situations and events during commissioning, operation and maintenance of tractor-dozers. It does not apply to tractor-dozers manufactured before the date of publication.
