Part 3 of BS 7967 gives guidance for responding to measurements obtained from electronic portable combustion gas analysers in accordance with BS 7967?2.

It gives recommendations for 1st, 2nd and 3rd family gases on:

  • combustion performance (CO/CO2 ratio) action levels
  • actions to be taken when CO is detected in dwellings.

It gives references to further information on the effects of CO.  This part of BS 7967 is intended to be used in conjunction with BS 7967?1, BS 7967?2 and the Gas Industry Unsafe Situations Procedure.
