What is BS ISO 10045:1991?
BS ISO 10045 specifies the dimensions, mechanical properties and fastening characteristics of test screws. These test screws and equipment are used to test the binding mounting area of alpine skis. Using test screws ensures the comparability of measurement data which is normally determined by the manufacturer or other institutions.
How does it work?
BS ISO 10045 first sets out the normative references and definitions that apply to skiing equipment, before explaining the designations, dimensions and requirements of fasteners. The standard also looks at head, thread and end configurations.
