Abstract
This European Standard, a part of the EN 50133 series, provides general and specific requirements for the components for an automated access control system as shown in EN 50133-1.
General requirements are given on electrical safety, electromagnetic compatibility, environmental issues, power supply, housings, documentation and marking/identification. Specific requirements are provided on the access point interface and recognition equipment.
This standard does not define component functionally as this is defined in EN 50133-1.
